K-lite The Winning Format

The K-lite format is  (Hot AC) which targets adults primarily 25 to 55 years of age. We switched to this new format in February of 1999 and have received a tremendous amount of positive feedback. Over the years we have always strived to bring the latest technology to this market. We look for better ways to serve our listeners and to be more effective for our advertisers. We are the only station in the market with Live Radar in the studio, we also recently formed a partnership with The Weather Channel to provide local weather information to our station. We are also have exclusive agreements in this market with both The Associated Press, and The Kentucky News Network which allows us to provide state and regional news coverage second to none. On the technical side we were the first all digital station and we are the only station in the market with (RBDS) digital information encoded via sub carrier on our main signal. This system has been in use in Europe for some time but is new to the United States. New vehicles now have radios that can show these text messages we are sending out. In the future we will begin using this system to help us alert listeners in case of local emergency situations and severe weather. We also introduced this website in 2000 and thanks to the hard work of many dedicated people we were able to provide this new service which allows people to listen to us anywhere in the world. We are constantly on the lookout for new and better services to provide to our listeners. We firmly believe that if you put your listeners first everything else will fall in place.

Here at K-lite  we have always put our listeners first. Many times we have turned down opportunities to sell a program because we felt it would be a turn off to our listeners.  At K-lite if its not something we feel the majority of our listeners want to hear, it doesn’t go on at any price.
